Our Foundation

Our Mission

Rural Artists Against Hate (RAAH) is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming spaces of hate into canvases of beauty. We support a network of artists who respond to hate symbols with creative, inclusive, and diverse artwork, working with our community to create positive change. Through community-driven initiatives and collaboration, RAAH fosters an environment of acceptance, unity, and resilience, meeting hate with beauty, one brushstroke at a time.

Our Vision

RAAH envisions a world where hate is met by beauty. Through our work, we create opportunities for healing and connection, transforming communities by turning spaces of hate into lasting expressions of unity and positive change.

Our Values

Equity, Inclusion, Diversity, and Accessibility (EDIA)

We believe that true transformation requires the full participation and valuation of every community member. We actively operate with an equitable lens to dismantle the isolation and prejudice that hate relies upon.

Creativity

We honor the power of art as a tool for transformation. Through creative expression, we turn negative symbols into positive, impactful works that speak to the heart of human connection.

Respect for Public Art

We recognize the value of public art in shaping our environment and culture. We are committed to upholding and protecting this space, ensuring it is used to uplift, not divide.

Healing

We are dedicated to creating opportunities for healing through art, providing a platform for emotional expression and building a sense of collective responsibility and care in our communities.

Compassion

We approach each project and individual with empathy, understanding that art has the power to bring about healing and transformation in ways that transcend words.
